History
1988
ANCOR was founded in 1988, becoming the first company worldwide to mass-produce and market polymer concrete electrolytic cells. It originally used technology supplied by its founding partner, the Dow Chemical Company, and was greatly responsible for switching the refining industry from lead-lined and plastic-lined cement concrete cells to polymer concrete cells. ANCOR had manufacturing plants in Chile, Indonesia, Poland, USA and Mexico, until the production capacity was consolidated in the main facility in Chile in the early 2000’s.

In September 2024 it became part of the prestigious The EPCM Group, a Canadian company. The EPCM Group is a global engineering, procurement and construction management firm. Established in 1980, we deliver comprehensive solutions through EPCM Engineering, EPCM Automation, EPCM Service & Supply and Tecnologias COBRA. Headquartered in North America, EPCM operates globally but supports clients locally through their operations in Canada, South America and Europe.
